How do they compare to the FK452 ?

had these on my saab , i had fitted the 452s to my cupra r and was very impressed so was expecting good things from the 912s even tho they are not the sport option.

got to say i was less than impressed in the rain and would stay away from them in future, just my opinion obviously but i wont fit them again.

FK452s are quite a bit better than 912s and will better suited the 'performance' tag of your vRS; they are only a few quid more expensive per tyre as well.

Being phased out? - not heard this but they have been around for quite some years so wouldn't be surprised if they are being superseded by something better. If you are looking for a fresh tyre that will be around for a few years, have a look at Vredestein's Ultrac Sessanta; an excellent tyre, mid priced (not budget level as Falken) but IMHO worth the extra ££.

Out of curiosity; what have you on the cars at present and why don't you repeat these?

Ultrac Sessanta - how are these wearing? How many do you reckon you will get out of a set on the fronts?

At present I have Factory Fitted Continental Sport Contact 2's

I have these on the Vroomster and they have been excellent in all manner of conditions. For the money they have been brilliant, especially in the wet and cold (Of which we have had a lot over the last few weeks). I would recommend them no problem despite what others think. I payed £60 a corner fitted and they have now done 3k and I would probably have them again

I had the cheaper Falkens on my Mk1 vRS and I would not buy them again.

They squealed when I set off in the dry when I wasn't particularly booting it, which didn't fill me with confidence.

Felt okay in the wet.

Covered about 10,000 miles on the fronts before I replaced them.

I was struggling to find any FK452's anywhere in stock, also Blackcircles, ETyres, Tyretraders etc (where you can organise fitted) were all out of stock/unavailable.

Anyway. found a local tyre centre that will fit some for £15 a pop all in If I could provide the tyre.

Got two FK452's from Camskill for £127.90 delivered.

So all in £78.95 per corner - Well chuffed :D

Tyres are arriving on Monday, depending on what time they arrive I will get them fitted either monday or tuesday next week.
