Rear Wiper Motor stopped working

Featured Replies

Last week, before the snow, my rear wiper stopped working. Yes I have read the sticky thread and used the search button, Honest.

I checked the fuse (no 32) and it was OK, I have removed the rear tailgate cover and got 12v across the outer 2 terminals but nothing across the the inner 2.

How do I diagnose whether it is the wiper motor, the column switches or something else? I know that a new wiper motor plus gaskets, etc. is £85 from the dealer.

I just had a mad thought tonight. I wonder if the switches were faulty would the rear wiper do a sweep when you put the car in reverse with the front wipers on? At the moment mine does nothing.

Anyone help?
