Does this qualify for the stance archive?

Featured Replies

On friday night i got home from work early so decided to fit my wheel spacers. 20mm at the back and 15mm at the front. Was some slight rubbing but i put the adjusters back into the back coilovers and thats solved the problem. Loving the way it looks now, shows the slight stretch on the tyre aswell.

Pics were taken on Sunday after a 2 day detail session with the meguiars poisher i got for xmas, but i will post those pics up in a different thread.

Yea, very nice, get them in the stance archive.

I would be extremely wary of using wheel spacers on a car with as much power as a VRS. There will be extra strain on the wheel bearings (not the toughest bearings as it is.)

Did you use longer wheel bolts? and if so, are they high grade steel? Are the spacers aircraft grade aluminum?

Which are the safer spacers to use?

The one with the longer bolts, or the ones that bolt to the hub, then the wheels bolt to the spacer?

I cant imagine there will be that much extra strain put on the bearings, the spacers are all hubcentric so sit on the hub, the back ones bolt to the hub and then the original bolts are used on the back, and the front ones use longer bolts, 15mm longer so the same amount of thread is in the hub. Theres quite a few people running spacers / adaptors on here and havent heard of any problems.

my friend used to run 60mm spacers on his dimma 106 lol
