Was going to say it sounds like the cable is on it's way out but.....seeing as Obi Wan replied...I'll keep quiet. ;)

mine went @ about 50k too

Changed mine at 30k

Oooh good thread Conor :)

Could any of you wise ones tell me whether you went for aftermarket items and if so which... ooh and who did you get to fit them ?

(I can feel mine starting to slip and would rather pre-empt the strike than completely burn it out Austin Maestro banger style)

Both of mine went before 40k and the third one will be replaced this weekend with a bit of luck. :D

I'm just approaching 35k ... any advice Des ?

53k here :wave23d:

Changed for an uprated Sachs one from IP

Same here - uprated Sachs clutch + lightened flywheel from IP. Probably best to get it fitted locally to you.

so i can expect mine to be on its way out already????bl00dy hell 36k on the clock, now revo'd and driven "briskly".

how much are new uprated ones?and how long can i expect the new one to last?

Mine's at 58K now, but no sign yet?!?!? Or perhaps I just don't know what a knackered clutch drives like ;)

I'm now at 45k and clutch is still going strong. No need to worry Jason.
