Normal Climatronic Vent Operation?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have the Climatronic dualzone system, I've noticed when it's in AUTO mode that the air coming from the centre vents is (sometimes?) a different temperature to the air coming from the side vents. Is this normal operation?

Cheers,

Richard.

The side vents are linked to the windscreen demister and the central vents are independent to them.

There is also a heat load sensor in the middle of the windscreen demister that will offset the temperature setpoint and fan speed depending on the amount of sunlight entering the cabin.

Hi Richard, I think it's normal, mine does exactly the same. :)

If you mean the center vents under the dashboard storage box, they're used to bring fresh air inside the cabin.

Climatronic automatically decides when to bring in fresh cold air and when the air is heated.

Yes it is. In auto mode, the climatronic controls not only temperature but also tries to control humidity and air quality
