Time to look at getting another passport.

Youtube isn't loading the clip for me and I haven't actually seen the film :o

Anyways back to the matter in hand, when I first read it, it was scary how it was true and since then it has become even more true/scarier.

But, perhaps, the worst truth is the proles, they really dont care as to what is happening to us :(

Is there a threat ! Probably yes, but not as big as its painted.

Just another exercise to prove that the Service economy works, like the Olympics, by creating lots of jobs for middle class pencil pushers at exorbitent contracted out rates, whilst the taxpayer is fielding the bill. Meanwhile the rest of the population sit at home, unemployed, whistling Dixie and ultimately providing even more grist for the "Homeland security" mill by having their dissatisfaction with, and reaction to, their plight labelled as subversive and a threat to security.

Its well evident now from the career decisions made by those responsible for attending to our official needs in this respect, that this is the next big career cash cow after the Olympics, and you are already seeing 'em jumping on this particular bandwagon en mass - nice little earners to carry 'em into retirement.

If the data management of these new bodies is anything like the place I work in, god help us.

Keep your adverse criticism muted else you too will be classed an enemy of the state have have your milk deliveries interfered with !

Nick

Not to worry, some bod is sure to lose the data anyway.

I wish I were also able to share your absolute cynicism but I'm afraid I have passed that stage and now fall into the paranoia bracket. I would positively rejoice if I felt that these career politicians had no more in mind than the urge to line their own pockets on the latest bandwagon to steam through town. Fill your boots I would proclaim as I went about my merry way in relative freedom.

However, imho, there is now a deep seated desire within the current administration to monitor and control every aspect of our lives, a sort of ******* incestuous child of Big Brother and Nanny State with serious in-bred genetic afflictions. It is no surprise and rather worrying that the UK's biggest advertising spender is HM's Gubbermint, wtf? Then there are the Stepford ministers, all using the same sound bites, mantras and behavioural techniques to indoctrinate via the mass media. Where will it end? How long before I have to ask my boss for 2 weeks off in July and the Home Office for permission to travel. Paperz pleeze!

That's my summer tour of the terrorist camps of the Yemenese desert off then....

P.S. If I dont post again within 24 hours I've been bundled into a black van and I am probably on the way to Eastern Europe to be "searched" by a nice man named Vladic.
