Interior Light Delay

Featured Replies

Hey there guys.

Stumbled accross this on ebay.

Skoda Felicia Interior Light Delay Relay on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 03-Mar-09 11:06:39 GMT)

Its being sold by Butts of Bawtry who appear to be selling off their Skoda stock.

Have ordered one but no idea how well it works etc... and can't tell if its an OEM part or aftermarket.

Just thought someone might be interested and is worth a go at £3.50 delivered!

Phil

i would hazard a guess that it will go somewhere in the headlining near the actual light itself

Yeh looks like it just fits into the connector on the interior light then the original wire just plugs into it.

Will let you know when I have it and how it works etc.

Hi folks.

Just to let you know I recieved this today.

Its an official Skoda part by the looks... had a skodo logo on and part number and has much on so looked like it had been taken from another car.

Works really well though... just keeps the light on for a few seconds after shutting the door and think it was a bargain for £3.50!

Phil

so how does it work?? does it just plug into the interior light?

It plugs into the interior light connector and then the wire for the interior light plugs into it so just connect in-line with the original connector so a pretty neat install with no bodging anything together!

Its weird that it's an original skoda part but I wonder actually how many vehicles this was actually on?

Unless it wasn't specific to the felicia?

Phil

After reading this thread I bought one and fitted it in seconds in the wife's Felicia. A simple thing but a pretty neat mod.

Jolly good... and yes just a few seconds to fit but a nice subtle mod.

OEM+!!

Ive noticed someting about this today.

If you start the engine while the light is still on (after having the door open then shutting it) it will turn the light off before the timer has finished and then if you open and shut the door with the ignition on/engine running it doesn't stay on just turns straight off when the door is shut.

Pretty cool.

Is that a plus point

Yeh makes sense to me.

If you were wanting to get in the car start it and drive off straight away then the light will turn straight off rather than it staying on regardless while you set off driving.
