Fabia 2006 1.2 12V BME engine code - engine problem

Featured Replies

Lately I'm having some trouble with my engine. On idle, sometimes it has rough ide. it is very irregular, and last a second. Second problem is when I'am slowing down, rpm (clutch disconected) tend to drop to 500, and the ECU returns them to normal. No error loged, on blocks I see one or two misfires. Lambda within operating parameters. Thrrotle body was cleaned, and adjusted, intake manifold checked for leaks, injector cleaned, coil plugs repalced. Only other thing that comes to my mind is MAP.

Any ideas?

Tnx

MAF sensor I would say.

Yes could be the mass airflow sensor. Are you sure about the injectors? They may have been cleaned but if the injection's pressure not up to scratch it could lead to misfire.

I forgot to mention that I have replaced fuel filter. It is pressure regulated, so only one thing elese could cause low fuel pressure, fuel pump. But then I would experience power loss. On high revs it runs great, or should I say, runs as good as it can for 64HP engine... :)

Sorry if my grammar is bad...

test compression on all cylinders

if any are below 9 bar i would check the timing (requires camshaft locking pins and a pin to go in the crank sensor hole to lock up the crank) and if the timing is ok i would sell the car quick as it probably needs a replacement head.

I know that AZQ engine had problem with timing chain, but I tought that issue was resolved in 2003. or something like that. Ok, I'll test compression, than I'll see.

Thanks everyone...

I'll report back... :)
