Sorry for the Dodgey Pics :D But i could not see the Car on my phone due to the Sun :D I just had to point & Squirt !!

Now, i do like them . But ! There are a few things about the Rubber i don't.

The Wheels are 7.5J & the 205x40x17 Tyres are slightly Stretched Giving a profiled/Angled Wall, Almost the Euro look, Which i don't like.

TyreProfile.jpg

And although the Radius of these wheels is ever so slightly bigger than the Standard Alloys, the Profiled/Angled tyre wall, gives the illusion of more wheel/Arch Gap. On the standard alloy wheels & tyres, The Tyre wall is vertical..

What are the biggest tyre i can get away with 215x40x17 ? or 215x45x17 ??

I was hoping to get away with lowering, But the Roller Skate look will annoy me..

Thoughts & Comments Please

Thanks

Dean

Looks Good, I like them.

What are the tyres, Yes I know Round and Black ones! but what make/model are they?

So you definately can't get away with 215x45x17 even though the height difference is Minimal over the Standard wheels & Tyres ?.

Nope I had a pot hole incident :D

215's are as wide as you can go... personally i didn't see any visual noticeable difference width wise from the 205's to 215's

Lookin' good Dean:thumbup:

Oh, and i hope you enjoy the bubble wrap!!:D

Eibach springs, standard dampers. That was taken as soon as they were fitted, npw they have settled in a bit, its a little lower. Probably not even another 5mm though.

As for 215's, its all down to preference. I went for them because at the time, i wasnt doing many miles, and my missus was driving it more than me, so i wanted (needed) the extra width incase they got kerbed, and the company that sold them didnt take any extra cash to upgrade from 205's to 215's

What Drop were the Eibach's ??

I think im going to Sell the 205x40x17 & purchase some 215's, They should hopefully sell seeing as they have done very little & even still have that New Rubbery Smell :D

Eibach Pro-Kit Springs Fabia VRS

Approx 25mm. Can get them cheaper than that though. Got mine for £150

And to replace the tyres that i have now (Yoko Parada Spec 2) i was quoted £66 a tyre, can probably get them cheaper than that though if you shop about a bit

Like them wheels but needs bigger size tyres and lowering then will look the bees ...

Well Bit the Bullet today :)

And purchased 4 Kumho Ecsta Sport 215x40x17, The Fit is much better, No more Euro look..

So the less than 2 months old 205x40x17's are for sale & as cheap as chips ..
