Washer jets - part number

Featured Replies

Don't suppose any of you folks would have the model number for the fan spray nozzles for a MY2006 Octy?

I ordered some from a main dealer and when they arrived, they are the wrong part - they say they've ordered a different model but would ideally like to go armed with a model number :)

Spoke to the dealer again today, since it's 2 days after they promised to phone me back with an update.

They said that the only part available was what was already sent - the one sitting in my kitchen which bears little relation to what I need.

I find it very strange that a Skoda main dealer can't get the right part!!

Post some pics and I'll do a comparison with mine .

Thanks Jules for the offer, but not sure how that would help?

I had one replaced on my 06 Octavia in June this year and the part No. was 1Z0955985 £2.92.

Ok, this one is finally put to bed.

The part number moley quoted above is correct - Stu also confirmed this separately by plugging in my chassis number into his software gizmo.

So, I phoned the dealer who had still not been able to come up with an alternative and gave him the part number - it eventually arrived on Friday just gone.

Took it out of the envelope, shouted lots of swear words as it was the same incorrect part as last time - I now had 4.

In their defence, this was my fault - I never checked the part number moley gave against what I had already been given by the dealer, I had just assumed that what the dealer had sent was wrong based on physical appearance - lo and behold the part numbers match (although in my defence, they didn't check either!)

Went to the car today armed with the part and yes, it fits perfectly - but, it IS totally different to the part that has come off. Shame really, for 2 reasons:

1) the original part had a plastic bar at the top of the jet which can be used to easily adjust the angle up and down - it's hard on the 'proper' part.

2) if you want to clean the nozzle on the new part, the whole thing has to come off the car. With the original part, the nozzle can be seperated leaving the base still on the car.

Very strange, but now working, flushed with water and full of Skoda screenwash finally.

Apologies to dealer, they were right from the start

Interestingly the part numbers were fairly similar - the one I took off was something like

8Z0955987B

At least you have it sorted now.
