I agree, seen that quite a few times and thought WTF!

That's putting it nicely too, however, the crap can be removed, and underneath. she's still 65/100.

But worth the £7k asking price?

Hi,

I own a 2003 Octavia RS WRC and have done for the last 5 years. The livery has long since been removed by the previous owner and there is no plaque telling me which number of the run it is. It's never bothered me until now but I am considering selling it and so would like to know if there is any other way that I can establish the provenance of the car. I spoke to Skoda UK who were quite unhelpful.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Dan

We can find out if it's a genuine WRC from the chassis number. But unfortunately can't tell you what number it is.

I quite like the decals on the front wings as they are different and also like the .... actually nope that’s about it really.

However I would still prefer the std WRC decals

True, but from the list, there's a whole load of numbers it isn't ;)

Thanks for your response group1rs. The chassis number is TMBER21U628570940.

It has all of the extras that came on the WRC from the heated seats and xenons so down to the cargo net so I never really considered that it may not be genuine...

Verified as genuine. Now all we have to do is find what number.

Were the chassis "in order"? (Not sequential) so #1 had a lower chassis number than #2?

Basically, so we could get an idea to start with. ;)

No they were not sequential

Great news although I knew it was. It's nice to have the confirmation though. I am in the process of preparing it to sell so one lucky individual can have the opportunity to become a member of a very exclusive club!

You will have to become a freedom member to sell on here. And as this is the place that prospective purchasers for a WRC will look it's a cheap way to sell.

How do I do that?

Thanks. Certainly cheaper than autotrader and I agree, more likely to find the right kind of buyer. I will join up when I am ready to advertise my WRC.

88 is now with us keeping 66 company down in Kent.

Use photobucket then copy and paste from there. Or email pics to me and I will upload them for you.
