Looks far better, only downside as i took it for the geo i found out the front wishbone bushes on both sides are beyond any use. Hey ho, just glad i didnt go for the RS JK5's otherwise id have been spending more money than id have wanted to.

Looks much better mate

Whats next on the to-do list? I reckon spoiler, colour coding strips and grille and tints would look fantastic

I take it that's AP Tyres near Parkgate, been there a few times with various cars

Sorry to hear of your latest problem, the joys of motoring eh?

Cheers

Hi Damo,

The wheels actually fill the arches out nicely now....although when the pic was taken it had the old alloys in the back.

And towards the other little mods you were talking about, are you psychic? ;) Next was going to be a lip spoiler although im not sure if to or not.

Think the reason why people didn't think it was lowered in my previous thread was down the the overall tyre sizes.

The others were well worn 215/45/R17's where as these are brand new kuhmo ecsta's in 225/40/R18 fitment.

All i can say is that Eurocar Parts on Penistone Road Sheffield have been absolutely spot on getting my new wishbones.

Went in at 5.20pm after finding out mine were knaff at 4:50pm, didnt have genuine parts...but had the offside FAI non genuine part in stock and said they could get the other side for 9am the next morning.

I got there at 11.30 and was very impressed with there service!

I no part no's on me, went in said have you got parts for my car with the reg no. Looked at a diagram said yep there the ones. £56+VAT a side with ball joints....although i had ordered ball joints as the arms were listed without . To find out after paying for them that it actually had the ball joints attatched.

So refunded me the difference there and then no quibbles!

Thoroughly impressed and cant wait to fit the parts and take it back for the 4 wheel geometry setting up.

Oh and when you was talking of selling your car, i was going to buy your wheels from you ;)

Glad your getting sorted then

Have you any plans for the centre cap badges?

Just looks a bit bare IMO

Still, like I said, a huge improvement and really looks lowered now :)

Cheers

Yes i have m8, if you've seen my previous RS4's i got some emblems from Ebay. Planning to buy some more, would have used my other caps.

But there just a little smaller than the other ones on the OD, but do clip in....may have to take a closer look later on.

Looks really nice now.

There is quiet a difference in the diameter between these 2 size tyres (12mms), thats why they fill the wheel arches better so keep that in mind with regards to the speedo which will be under reading slightly now. A much beter match would have been 215/40/R18 which would have been a 4mm difference.

The speedo seamt to over read by as much as 4-5mph at 70mph with the 215/45/R17's whilst using the gps.

I dont know what size wheels came with the car originally, i assume it was steel wheels.

So i was hoping this would make the speedo more accurate :)

You maybe right, I have been looking around the web. it looks like the tyres fitted to the 17s may have been wrong and these are right. That may also explain why in the pictures after you had the car lowered it really didnt look like it had been.

Wow big improvement and looks really great now

What you doing with the old wheels ;) ?

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Taxi219, I will be letting them go, once i know my suspension has been set correctly.

There in need of at least 2 new tyres and really could do with a refurb to be perfect.

Cheers for that let us know if you could

That's just about perfect now; well done.

Overall, IMHO, your problem before was the size of your tyres; 225/45 17 or 225/40 18 are the correct size for the Octy II; your previous 215s were just a touch too small. Glad to see you've now got it right.

All you need now is .... ????????

nice rims !!!

Its now gone from a slight toe out, to toeing in by miles!

So now thats out of the way i can take it for geometry.
