Liquid Gauge

Featured Replies

Met up with Clive aka Westallc today to buy his LG off him.

Top bloke and great car Clive it was good to meet a fellow Briskodian

Anyway I am very happy with the LG and here are some results from a blast this evening.

Temps where -1.5c outside so I know this will influence the power readings but still I am very surprised by what I achieved :D:D:D

Engine Oil Temps

Boost. Maximum 20.8 psi

Have also performed a throttle body reset. Will try the other functions later. Will say it must draw loads of power through the OBD as the car has used loads of fuel today :D but Clive did warn me about this.

Top bit of kit and well chuffed.

Cheers mate.

Very interesting, how accurate is it?

Have you ever had yours on a dyno?

  • Author

TBH I don't know my car has never been dyno'd and they are just pub figures at the end of the day but it bought a smile to my face :D

Ultimatley I got this for Boost and Oil temp gauges as well as the mobile diagnostic abilities and as long as they work I'm happy

Ian

Looks very nice...I'm jealous

Very nice indeed. Have you any pictures further away, I want to see what they look like overall. If you get me.

Cheers

John

im glad your enjoying it mate.... i told you about the fuel lol:rofl:

really good figure and they are really spot on as i said only 1 to 2 bhp compared to the rr's ive done so very good piece of kit.. would have kept it as mine was the first to be done in the octy but needs must i missed the drivers vent on them cold mornings lol :D

it was nice to meet you and the other half mate hope to catch up again soon for a blast... but people be warned this man likes very posh pubs :D

What was the Torque reading like compared to the RR Clive?

again within a few digits mate really is spot on

the only time you get some strange high or low readings is when your maf is on its way out...

the lg does everything you could possibly want and more. very handy fault code reader and can clear them to and does boost torque, dyno runs to name but a few. 0-60 timing etc etc

it is really a boys toy and really is fun but as my car need afew other things this had to go :D

they have good reports on mk1v forum and the tt forum

That wasn't the other half that was her daughter, im a toy boy lol  and as for the pub....well :D I apologise. Felt really under dressed and out of place there for sure. I just picked it at random as it was about 1/2 way and not far from the motorway. What a mistake that was. Did you notice the sign leaving the car park BTW. I laughed when I saw it. Please drive quietly. Could just about see it as the smoke from your tyres cleared. That exhaust sounds sweet BTW

I reckon word got out there was 2 supercars there

That looks like a really nice bit of kit, think i might invest in one of these as the octy has no boost gauge or oil temp gauge, and i would like to know these figures,as it is a very high performance motor.

Shame it does not work on the dervs :(

the guage only goes up to 300 bhp but then there is that little button that says big turbo to convert higher:D

really good bit of kit well worth it...

cant believe you dont have a boost gauge in your car with that spec or oil temp:eek:

I spotted this as well. Looks so much better than the my stained silver effect carpet :(

Here Race Diagnostics Ltd Vent modification takes 2-3 weeks  or here where you get an insert for your current vent so will be quicker http://www.swgmotorsport.com/asps/ShowDetails.asp?id=228

Im going to put mine in my rear view mirror or sunviser as im not to keen on the vent jobbies, however that said if you could cover all the plastic in some carbon stuff to match the dash it would look better i think.

My car has been RR'd three times so also i'll get a pretty good idea as to accuracy.

The vent ones are fine if they do not block the vent totally, which unfortunately it appears these do :(
