RNS Columbus

Featured Replies

Hi just fitted a RNS 510 columbus into an Octy 2, the only problem i have now is my 6 disc CD changer audio is very distorted radio and SD card audio are fine and did not do this before with my old radio so im presuming may be a set up problem?

You'll probably need to re-wire the quad block connector slightly - very easy to do.

Have a look on Stu's site: (towards the bottom)

I managed it and I'm an electrical idiot :)

Correct me if I read this wrong but all i have to do is remove pin 2 and swap it with pin 3?

You need to move the ground for the CD changer.

Not being funny what gives you the right to tell me what i can or cant fit, ive asked for advise in order to rectify my cd changer fault thats all.

Relax, he's pulling your leg :)

You'll find that most people would give their left leg for what you have just installed.

Or, their rubbishy Stream unit

He was just teasing in an effort to get your quite rightly highly regarded Columbus from you in return for his seamingly meagre Stream unit ;)
