Gave her the evil eye..

Featured Replies

Was admiring how clean the car was (for a change) from the rear. Very same evening drove home from work without any brake lights and flashing glowplug thingie.:D

Bought the updated green brake light switch and had a fun time trying to fit it on top of the clutch.:thumbdwn:

I've been told that I vary between stupid and brilliant, with no in between and usually the former :rolleyes:

The local skoda guys tried to give me a black one, but I went to VW and they had the pretty green one...:rofl:

Hope to have it in tmrw am, which is when my local MOT is due....:thumbup:

:rofl::rofl::rofl: Speechless :P

Have you been sniffing the formaldehyde again Bas??

My excuses are: I had siliconed the vagcom connector into the dash bit, was covering the pedals, kids were screaming and I have a headcold.

Still - better than when I put in new 312mm pads back asswards and they squealed like nothing else for a week.

My main positive amateur-mechanic achievement though has been fitting new flywheel, clutch, Peloquin diff (with correct shimming) all by myself.

Luck of the draw I guess....

That would explain the stuffed-up feeling and total confusion :D

Will have to cut down, right after I give up cigarettes......

clear light of day, feeling a bit better - returned the clutch switch, fitted the brake light one carefully - helps to see what is where. Also less fatigued this am, thank goodness.

Used measuring block 6 on engine to see changes from depressing clutch and brakes. Pumped the brake 3-4 times and no more glowplug light.

useful to have 5 working brake lights again.....

Sorted.

Great stuff :thumbup:
