2.1 PC Speaker system for around

Featured Replies

I got Creative ones probably the old model of those, not bad at all for £30 imo.

I have Advent ones from PC World. Were £59.99 in the shop. £29.99 on line but a web exclusive was £19.99 so i purchased them. Decent enough sound although it has to be cranked up a lot. Looking to replace them soon and i will be going for the Logitech X230's or just noticed X240's at PC World for just under £30.

I've got the Creative iTrigue 3400s (now replaced by the 3330 I think) Creative I-Trigue 3330: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

A bit over budget, but great for the money.

I really do like Altec Lansing speakers though, very detailed sound - something like Altec Lansing VS2421 - 2.1 speakers with SFX: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo I'm sure you could find within budget :)

I've some some ancient Altec Lansing 2.1's, bought about 10 years ago for £55... still sound awesome!

I have those very logitech ones and they sound really good, I sometimes play my home music through the pc and the sound is very crisp and clear and the adjustable bass/sub volume is a breeze to get right.

Which Logitech model is it you have Manny? The X-240s?

Steve

I had a set of the Logitechs, same as the one in your link I believe. They sounded really really good, on a par for most stuff as my 500w Panasonic system!

Some reviews seem to say they have too much bass:confused: but that is easily changable with a kn0b on the side of the sub. Great for music, games consoles and probs films as well. Highly recommended.

Only thing was the tube on the inside of the sub was brooken and rattled around, got it refunded by Amazon but didn't get another set as my need for them had gone.

Thanks to all. Some X240s have been reserved from a local PC World store and will be picked up later

Cheers,

Steve
