Anyone fitted wind deflectors?

Featured Replies

Thinking about buying some Heko wind deflectors from ebay, just over 30 quid inc postage.

Has anyone fitted them or know of any reason why not to do it.

I want to get started on adding some nice touches to the car and these seem like a cheap cheerful and functional start, next should be the colour coded grille and then the external b pillar trims.

Never seen the b pillar trims on another 0cty2 in the flesh but seen one on youtube today while searching for fitting instructions for a BOV, looked very nice!

Never mentioned, it was overseas and the car had all round limo tints, so the black pillar trims really did look good, if I find the video again I'll post a link.

As i am a smoker (very bad habit indeed) the first thing i did when i buyed the car it was to fit wind deflectors, more or less like those, as so i can slightly open the window even during rain (click on the thumbnail to open image)

Also, they don't do miracles but they reduce the "slap" of the wind on your face if you like to drive with the windows open.

Easy to fit,the downside is that you may expect a mild wind noise while riding over 60 MPH.

I bought some with my Octy ("genuine" Skoda dealer fit option). They had a thin edge that fitted in behind the rubber window seals (ie not the external stick on style)

They created problems with the electric windows not closing properly (I think the controller interpreted the extra resistance was something stopping them from closing).

After 4 weeks I had the dealer take them back, as they never did allow the windows to work properly.

It was a pity, as I like having the window slightly open.

Got them on mine, and fitted them in about 5 mins

to fit the metal grippers place them about 2 inches away from the door frames on top of the deflector then wind the window up

the front has 1 gripper the rear 2
