Allard Pipe on BLT engine?

Featured Replies

My question is for the coleagues with BLT engines.

I know the EGR on a BLT is a little bit different than the ASZ (am I right).

Is there any special tips and tricks to replace EGR (BLT) with Allard one?

Is there a coleague with BLT with an Allard pipe?

Thanks in advanse!

as far as im aware its just the same as if you had to fit it to an ASZ engine :)

The EGR arrangement on the BLT is different however I don't know what comes with the Allard pipe so couldn't comment on it's fitment.

whats the difference between the BLT and the ASZ please??? no sarcastic comments... lol

The BLT had some changes made to meet more stringent EU emmisions regs.

Plus I frankly would have to see a lot of good posts about Allards again before I even consider them again, based on how they went out of business and re-appeared..

It might be worth posting in the Jabbasport section to see if their EGR delete pipe fits the BLT engine as well, I would guess the more stringent emissions adjustments on the BLT EGR are the reason for the BLT engine stutter.

May is ask what it is you hope to achieve with this new pipe?

We wish to achieve clear inlet maniflow, better and bigger air flow.

I am worryed, because to remove the BLT engine EGR and put the Allard pipe...must remove another one detail. It looks like a drosel valve (I know that the diesel does't have drosel valves) which is only in the BLT engine i think!

Before making fundamental changes to the EGR system, i would first get the 9mm gaskett to replace the 22mm one, and get the EGR turned down via OBD.

From what i've read, the blanking pipe comes with some side effects (no anti-shudder, need for CCV etc)

The BLT is already up on power (must be the Bacon) compared with the ASZ, so rest assured, you already have a cheeky little motor!

It is done allready!

I am interested to put an Allard Pipe on BLT engine. Please coleagues with BLT tell me-is there any problems or tips to fit it?
