have finally been dragged into the 21st century with a Fabia Elegance 1.4 16v Wreg. Love the car; has all the Skoda virtues that I anticipated, but....................

Apart from my Citroen XM which suffered a creeping collapse of its central (electrical) nervous system I have never had a car with so much electrickery in it. I am a bit apprehensive having read on other sites about erratic fault system lights and PS foibles in Skodas. So far the only fault has been a fuel gauge that reads half full when its empty(luckily the fuel warning light was right on the button).

So have I bought another XM horror story or should I relax; and what, if any, are the things I should look out for?

Any re assurance gratefully received.
