OEM Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

Have you fitted it?

Tempted for front sensor :D

Not yet but will do when i get a dry free day.

And its ideal for fitting behinf the bump stripes so no drilling of bumper etc

Are the PD1 style sensors removable, for example if you needed the have the bumper sprayed or chaged in future?

Interested in this kit, but not sure about bumper removal or drilling! Wouldn't the securing clips for the bump strip hinder the sensor, or are they just at each end? Pardon my ignorance, just excited that there's a way of doing it so simply even I might manage it! PD1 kit inside the bump strip seems the easiest and most discreet option

No sensors just a magnetic strip

Thats a fair point i guess i will look when its removed (it only on clips)

Failing that removing the rear bumper isn't rocket science and the strip just sticks on the back of the bumper so either way it can't be bad. Some video's of the PDW1 being installed and lots more on there of it in use:

I really like the idea of putting it behind the bump strip - not even having to remove the bumper!

TBH i wouldn't trust the strip to stay on all by itself, it doesn't seem that sticky.

I put a layer of black tank tape (gaffer tape) over the whole length.

Even if you did put it behind the rub strip you still need to run the wire into the car so will probably need the bumper off to locate a suitable grommet.

These are my none OEM reversing sensors and have worked great for the last year. Brought from EBay seller GPS. Easy to fit as others have stated and exact colour match.
