Hi Guys

I have been offered a set of golf r32 wheels 18 inch 225/40/18

I am going to be lowering the car on lowering springs only

will there be any clearance issues or should i stay clear of 18 inch alloys

everyone seems to think ride quality with 18's aint the best and 225's deffo wont fit.

Done a bit of searching and i think i will just stick with 17's

18s will work using 215/35 R18 tyres. 225/40 is the size for the octy which can cope with that in the arches.

Probably best to get some coilovers and 17s, springs dont go low enough.
