im just about to purchase my first skoda, a x reg fabia 1.4mpi. due to someone having the urge to pull out infront of my old car and writing it off (the git).

is there anything i should need to know about it before i start e.g. common problems etc. im very handy with a spanner so can carry out all work myself should it need it.

what sort of alloy wheels would people recomend as i dont want the normal steels on.

lastly whats the driving of them like such as the braking force (do i need to put bigger/vented brakes on or put disks on the back), accel force, steering response etc.

any help would be greatly appreciated

You would be better off putting the questions in the Fabia 1 section as there are more people that look there and will be able to advise you.

Can't really advise you on the acceration and breaking force as I have a vRS and have never driven the other variants, but somebody who has will be more than happy to help you out.
