i wonder if anyone could reccomend good replacement bulbs for the main and dipped bulbs on my 56 plate octavia elegance estate. also does anyone know the ( h )

numbers for the abve mentioned

I have fitted phillips Xtreme to the dipped beams and am very happy with them

hope this helps (H7 i think) but the bulb sites normally have a model search which gives this info for the whole car

If you try a search, I think you'll find a few threads which answer your questions about Octy headlight globes.

I like Philips X-treme, but they only make a H7 (lo beam ? ), not a H1(hi beam ?). Next best is Osram Night breaker. Some people find the +80 and +90 globes don't last as well as the standard globes. Fleabay is often the cheapest source (unless your local motor spares supplier is having a special deal).

I've recently fitted H7 Osram Silverstar 50% bulbs and find them a massive improvement over the stock bulbs. £17, happy with that.

Stock ones were shocking - mind you I found the previous owner had a blue bulb in one side and a different make in the other side.

Nightbreakers for me! Main beam only as I have xenons but big improvement over standard bulb.
