Slight vibration problem

Featured Replies

Does this sound like an engine mount? I was cruising at around 60ish fine no probs but when i was accelerating to 80 there is a slight vibration. Once cruising at 80 vibration gone but soon as you floor it its back! Any ideas?

What gear were you in and what RPM???

in 5th around about 2500-3000 ish

I think that could be your problem. These cars are fitted with a dual mass flywheel which will rattle its *** off if your in too high a gear. Although you have the torque there, the flywheel can't handle it, hence the vibration. I would say don't floor it in fifth until 3-3.5k as a general rule.

Drop it back too fourth next time then boot it.
