Vrs k&n removal

Featured Replies

Good morning

I am considering buying a 2003 VRS Octavia that has been remapped and has a k&n cone filter fitted.

I would want to remove the k&n as I dont want the wastegate chatter - is it a straight forward job (he doesnt have the original airbox so I would have to buy one (is there other parts and would it need remapping/tuning to take the different airflow into consideration.

thanks for your help

Removed email for securtiy reasons HTH

dont think so mate, the map should be ok, all you need to do is get the air box and the funnel the goes into the wing, and get a PX or K&N pannel filter. there is 2 silver lookin screws that go in the box to secure it to the MAF and 2 black ones that secure the lower half to the chassis and battary box. also a nut to secure the funnel to the wing.

look on EBAY mate there is a few on there iirc.

as above mate in fact the original air box is better than most air intakes

does the job brilliant and will only help as the inlet temps will decrease:thumbup:

I have removed your email address from that post mate.

You could end up with all sorts of ****e in your mailbox tbh.
