Noise coming from front nearside wheel going half to full lock on turning right

Featured Replies

check your cv boots see if theres grease everywhere

Hello,

Would you know hub nut sizes of front or rear if known, please.

Been told 36m/m with a 12 points of contact, but that seems massive ??

Thanks for any light you can shed on it.

I doubt if pot holes caused the tyre to go out of shape. Tyres can distort through manufacturing defects or age.

I also very much doubt if the Tories would make pot holes high on their priorities if they come to power, however if all the MP's went out filling the pot holes they would be doing something useful at last.

The front nearside wheel is minutely miss shaped (which is not noticeable to the naked eye) and causes unoticeable vibration when cornering hard right in wet weather which makes the noise.

That sounds like ******** if you ask me.

That seems about typical for a hub nut. They usually are f***-me massive and f***-off tight with it, so you'll be wanting a proper breaker bar to go with it too.

I had a knocking problem on full lock (Felicia). Not CV joint. Happened after new tyres fitted. The clip on balancing weights can't be used on the alloy wheels because there is not enough clearance, need to use stick on flat weights.

Returned to garage and had problem rectified for free.
