so edition 30 is smaller than the S3, but is it bigger than the standard vRS and GTI.

You have answered your own question. At a guess I would say its the same as a normal GTI but I'm not 100% on that.

The edition 30 one has plastic end tanks compared to metal ones on the s3 intercooler which is meant to stop them splitting etc or leaking boost if running high boost. My mate just upgraded his ed30 to an s3 one. S3 one is also slightly thicker, not much though, 5mm or 10mm if your lucky.

gutted now, lol. My mate was going to give me his cos he is upgrading it, if i drop him off and pick him up from the airport. never mind. Ill just have to keep my eyes peeled then
