It might be a drain from the bottom of the battery box. Mine has a rubber pipe leading out the bottom, but I dunno where it goes.

It's a drain for the battery tray. Some engines have the air filter inside the engine cover, as a result the battery is further back and the power steering reservoir is accessible.

On Fabia VRS battery has to removed (a real pain that) and afterward resetting windows one-touch and radio code (inside cover) of Skoda Audio manual.

Having to take short car trip run, so on-board computer can re-calibrate itself, no big deal about that.
