Felicia Homologation Number...?

Featured Replies

Have to get the Felicia logbooked this week, Hillclimb season starting soon...

It is not vital as i will be running in the modified class, but just for the purposes of paperwork, what is the Homologation No. for a '96, 1.3 Felicia?

I looked up the FIA site and got a No. of 5528

However, my Logbook application form requests a number similar to.... EX ???.??

Any ideas?

Finally...

Homologation no's are all new to me...

I've always ran in the modifieds in various cars...

i dont even understand how Homologation works.

It says on the FIA site that the Felicia ran out in 2008, Is there an automatic 3 year extention to this? or am i mixing up my stories?

I've a set of homologation papers for the Felicia, and 5528 is the homologation number shown on those.

There's also space for an extension number, which might be where the EX is coming from, but these are different, depending on which particular extension applies (e.g. kit car, different homologated parts etc.)

As I understand it, the Felicia's international homologation has been extended out to 2010 now. You can still run most previously homologated cars in the relevant group and class (e.g. A or N) on national-level events in the UK after this (regs usually say something like "For cars currently or previuosly homologated....") but the cars have to be to the relevant spec to do that, otherwise you'll be running (in the UK at least) in the "B" classes.

Cheers

James
