MFD2 Fitted - Now warning lights !!!

Featured Replies

Help Me Please!!!!!

followed stus' fitting guide for the mfd2 to the letter.

but now got tyre pressure, traction control & i think airbag warning light on.

already booked into skoda dealer for coding.

question is....

is it safe to drive till tuesday? ps mfd2 works perfectly

john.

Check the wiring in the back? TPM, Airbag off indicator and ESP/ASR buttons are all underneath the MFD2 and climate controls.

Are you able to get the car scanned for error codes by VAG-COM? Anyone local to you?

I pre-booked into skoda to turn off the 'chirp' on the alarm, so its going in on tuesday.

hopefully they can reset it.

i will check the wiring at work tonight, if not to busy.

just a tad concerned that i will do damage to the ecu

regards

john

Drive the car for a few meters, they'll clear off.

If you have the airbag light on that will need clearing with a diagnostic tool.

cheers stu,

Are we to assume it's sorted?? :P

you should charge with your knowledge !!!!!!

Well you could always join Freedom @ £12 per year, no financial gain for me but it will help to keep this place here - It may just have saved you a few ££.

yep sorted and has a big thanks, paid my £12 an joined freedom.

btw when unsetting the alarm with the remote, my main beam comes on.

is it possible to have just the side lights come on?

thanks again

john.

Welcome to the Green Side John.

I'd need to take a look at the coding for your car to see if the CH/LH lights can be changed to sides.

Stu,

had my car into skoda main dealer today ( turn off chirp with alarm & code nav unit )

I asked them to put lights sides, got it back after an hour an it still does the same.

so skoda say sometimes it works etc.

do you know which bit needs changing? so i can tell 'em when it goes back on monday.

many thanks for the install guide for the mfd2, do you have a user manual link? the one at the bottom of installation guide dont appear to work.

cheers,

john.

I had to disable the user manual download as it had been spread over the net and was taking the bandwith for the site.

I'd need the part number of your Cent Electronics controller to look at.
