Wet rear nearside footwell

Featured Replies

Before I take the car to a dealer, is there a known fault that can cause water in the n/s/r foot well?

No obvious signs of a (rusty) hole - floor, from underneath, looks good.

Can rear washer pipe fracture and leak inside car to here? (It's been replaced, about a year ago.)

One thing I can't stand in a car is wet inside, so any ideas?

Edit: just looked at rear washer pipe & water pours out and runs down inside wheelarch. Trouble is the leak is not accessible!

Have you looked under the trim which runs along side the rear nearside seat by the door? Theres a connection for it in there which i assume has popped off if your footwells wet.

I think theres one small plastic screw, and then it just unclips. Should be a 2 minute job.

If you rear washer jet still works it must be something else such as ancillaries carrier!

check your door seal. I had to reseal the panels on both rear doors. There's a "how to" on here somewhere. Takes about 1 hr per door.

Had mine done on warranty..........

ive got a similar problem with my passenger footwell has got some water leaking onto it when there is heavy rain, i found it was coming through the vent for the heaters and through a small hole that just built up.
