Hi,

I've recently purchased a Skoda RNS510 (columbus/mfd3) system. I've looked @ the MFD2 installation guide, and find it great. However I'm looking @ installing the dvd myself into my octavia. It is currently fitted with a Stream system, I understand how to physically take the system off and I'll require a new fascia. However will the system fit with the current wiring harness in the back? Will it work immediately with the Maxidot system? and does anyone know of any installers in Sydney, Australia?

Your current wiring should be ok, just check the CD changer ground.

Hey guys, Just wanted to share some of my positive experience with the 6 speed DSG DQ250. I wasn’t happy with the DSG behavior on my Octy because it was jerky between 2nd and 3rd and vise versa. And also between 1st and 2nd with light throttle. So I decided to check the DSG oil by adding 1liter and also check for leaks from the DSG filter seal due to some oil on the transmission which I’ve noticed while changing the engine oil few months ago. Hi. Had the car since May 25. Always been a knocking sound like metal on metal from the front suspension when driving over bumps in the road. It sounds a bit like an old worn shock absorber on a car from the past. The dealer identified and acknowledged the unusual sound but were unable to identify the cause. Went to get in the car this afternoon after it had been parked in the sun all day and I swear it never had this gap above the airbag before?! Has something moved? Could someone take a pic of their airbag to compare? It’s the standard round wheel and not the facelift one. I’m away with work at the minute otherwise I would remove it and have a better look. Pushing it does nothing other than sound the horn! Has something fallen off or moved or have I just never noticed it before!

Hello, I activated Smart Link on my swing 3 radio, at Skoda Octavia mk3 MY 2018, so I want to share with everyone how it can be done. DISCLAIMER: You do it at your rensponsability, is not easy to do, and you can mess things out, possible brick you device. Do it only if you have expereince in this kind of activity. Physical tools needed: Tool for removing radio 4 pieces, just google "VAG radio removal tool", cost about 1€. CH341A Mini Programmer, cost about 10€. PC/Laptop Philips screwdriver
