cleaning Fab VRS seats

Featured Replies

HELP!

i scotch guarded my Fabia VRS seats when I got the car (3 weeks ago)... i noticed some marks on the passenger seat yesterday... looks like someone i gave a lift to didnt have quite as clean clothes as i expected!!

on the side bolster (biege bit) there is a big mark of curry stain colouring :(

i have tried just wiping it with a damp cloth, but this didnt help.... I`m assuming its not water based (as Scotch Guard says it prevents/protects from)

so anyone got any ideas what I can used to clean it up?

I`m off to H@lfords at lunch to see what they have got

I'm getting a steam cleaner for cleaning the seats. Mine are filthy.

i bought the upholstery cleaner from halford it comes in a red can and it has a red brush like cap, it removed the stains from my fabia seats very well, took a couple of applications though

back from my trip to halfords...

got some Car Plan, Stain Removal stuff, green lid with brush, as it says it removes food stains (inc curry), so I`ll give that a go this evening and see what happens.

i also got tempted some Turtlewax, spray on Wax for Alloy wheels.... going to try that out, see if it helps keep then good over the winter, should repel salt as well as brake dust....

Checkout my thread for a group buy of Simoniz Teflon protection for the furby seats.

have just put the teflon spray onto the seats, and will be testing its powers of rejection using water on Moday . ( when Im off )

I've found when I use those cleaners, they do get the stain off, but then leave their own mark which you need to then clean with water to get off..

I once had a stain, and unsure how to remove it, tried a bit of MC2 (Multiclean 2) on a jiffy cloth which I then lightly rubbed against the stained light beige fabric of the fabia vrs.

Worked a treat and didn't bleach the grey fabric either
