Fab VRS driving

Featured Replies

well, yesterday I broke the 1000 mile barrier (19 days old) so I am starting to open it up a little....

just wondering (I`m sure this will start a few arguments) what people think is the best way to get the performance out of the engine.... obviously short shifting helps to a certain extent, making use of the turbo & torque

so those of you who have done 1/4 miles or 0-60 runs... what revs in what gears gives best times....

I've not done actual times, but generally I shift up at 4,000 rpm at the max, usually about 3,500 rpm in the higher gears. For the best performance, I tend to make sure up changes drop the car at about 2,500 rpm or above.

I generally change up at 3500rpm. My car has hit the 3000 mile mark after 5 weeks and its definatly alot looser now. The driving experience gets better as the miles grow :D
