Last night I got the hairdryer out and....

Decided to remove the "OCTAVIA" lettering from the back of me motor.

After much heating and picking and scrubbing with tar remover I managed to get all the sticky stuff off.

Really happy with the way it looks now, except, when I stand back from it I can still see the faintest imprint of the lettering.

Has anyone else found this or have I just not been scrubbing hard enough?

Thats down to sunlight I reckon - you're looking at virgin paint behind those letters. I can't say I noticed it on mine though when I did it. It'll disappear hopefully, given time.

I would hope you can't see 'octavia' on the back of yours mate.

If you can I'll have some of whatever you've been taking.

Rub over it with a little T-Cut or similar' date=' then re-wax the whole area.

PS Why????? Do you think people will now think it's a BMW?[/quote']

Thats sounds like good advice.

As to why. I just didnt like the font. It doesnt match the text on the skoda badge or the "VRS" badge. It also just collects wax and looks cluttered.
