Oil On Diverter Valve. VRS!!

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I changed the DV valve on my 1.8t VRS today for a better Forge one. I noticed a little oil on the inside of the original. I just wanted to know if this is normal or is there a problem brewing? Car has 72k miles.

I think it's normal as the engine recirculates crankcase vapour it will probably find it's way through the DV in the same way as it does the other boost pipes and intercooler.

There was a little oil inside mine when I took it off to clean it. As Lex said, it's normal.
