Hello GillyWibble,smstxt,mikeSM56,VRStu,

im New to this forum also thanks for the replys.I noticed looking on this forum that VRS is called a snob badge,Im in no way a snob.Reason why i got a vrs is because i have been looking at an octavia for some months and the vrs was the one for me,i have mainly always had high performance cars in past and still wanted that sporty and performance factor with the octavia.Wasn't sure about getting a diesel but after driving the vrs well it can certainly shift, and love the acceleration it's got real good torque on the diesel...

welcome to briskoda

Hello! :wave23d:

Hiya. The real key to getting the best from a diesel is to learn to surf along on the torque wave, rather than just rev the proverbials off it!

will look into that,i don't tend to be heavy footed on the accelerator anyhow.just experimenting through the gears at the moment seeing what works best..

Hello and welcome..........enjoy!!!!!
