Hello from the Black Country

Featured Replies

Hello, First post. I've owned a couple of old generation Skoda's a few years back. A 105 Estelle and a Favorit. Both cracking motors. The Estelle was a lovely little car and eventually went to the great car park in the sky because having the kingpins done was a lot more than the car was worth!

I am also into Citroens in a big way and my daily driver is an Xm 2.5td. I am being pestered by the family to get a newer car and was looking at a C5 estate 1.6hdi and had also looked at a few Pug 307's until I started reading about dual mass flywheels self destructing and costing around 2k to fix! So I've been drawn back to the Skoda marque again and quite fancy a Superb. I will only be spending up to about 4k so expect to get a car with 80-100k miles probably. I quite fancied a V6 tdi but reading on here it would appear that most people think the 1.9 130 is THE car to have. Am I right on that assumption?

Thanks,

Dave.

Hello :)

welcome to briskoda

Hiya.

You're not the only person around here who's had Citroens before. I actually looked at a C5 before buying my current Octy.
