any ideas anyone?

when i had my 08 plate 1 1.2 70 the garage sed about £180 cause of labour,

i thought it was quite a lot so left it, good job really cause i sold it 6 months later!

So only the 3 gets RCL then? Thats a bit tight , seeing as the comfort spec Mk1 (like mine) came with it as standard.

No...the Fabia 2, level 2 spec includes remote central locking. My 1.4TDI estate has it. Dotty, I think you probably need to speak to your dealer on this one. I'm an ex tech but can't answer your question due to never having worked on the Fabia's, and there are many variables that can affect cost. However, it should be perfectly possible to have your system upgraded but is more costly when done as an add on, rather than ordered from the factory when the car is 'born'. Unless someone else has the answer on here, perhaps you can post back in a few days and let us know what you find out from your dealer.

Good luck.

Thanks all for your replys, spoke to the only dealer here on the Isle of Wight where i purchased the car and last week they gave me the price £197 + vat, this was with parts and labour. As we will be keeping the car i went ahead and had it done for a final total cost of £223.00.Im pleased with it,no more fumbling in the dark. Thanks all.

Dotty, that's splendid! And dare I say...that's a really good price too. Less than I thought it would be. Well done and thanks for posting back with the answer.

according to my local dealer it's about £200+ because they have to send the car to some special electrical specialist place. It's £98 + labour
