fabia 1.9sdi

Hello

Has anyone chipped a Fabia sdi or would the purchase of a tdi be more sensible.Possible future Skoda owner.

Chipping sees the best returns on cars with turbochargers...on naturally aspirated vehicles, you migh see an increase of about 12bhp, compared with the 30+bhp you'd typically get on a remapped car.

So, if you want a sprightly diesel, get a TDi. If you want something slower but with a less complex engine and a cheaper purchase price, the SDi is the one... :)

Rob.

Buy a Tdi. Non turbo cars are not really worth chipping. You will get Fabia vRS power if you chip the 100bhp Tdi

Hmmm? [checks Jabba dyno] just "get" vRS power? :P With a little more fettling and a generous remap the 150bhp mark is easily surpassable with the PD100 TDI. ;)

Bever where you based? I have cover all insurance due to my line of work and would quite happy to let you try a quick PD100  On the track day mine and Jasons where more than a match for standard Furby VRS, or maybe me and Jason just drive like a pair of loonies....... :D
