Where you got them hosted? Just wondering if they're available in larger res?

Could do with a little advice on improving light grey skies

Notice that the yard lights are visible even at 8.23am

These are on Flickr, as my Photobucket account seems to freeze sometimes

Looking good:cool:

Heard nothing but good things about the Alpha range:thumbup: Be nice to see some larger images if pos.

I use a Hoya Cir-Polarizing filter (55mm) on my Sony A350 to sort out washed out skies. That is the size you will need on your A200. Got mine from a cracking mail order place in Hull, off t'interweb.

Got a link to the site Buster? Always good to have info on decent photo equipment places :)

Thanks .... I really don't know why flickr stuff seems to be getting smaller, is there an option that I've missed? BTW I use the flickr "basic uploader" as that works with Linux.

I've got a Hama sky filter on the standard 18-70mm lens, I guess it was just a very grey sky at 8.23

I'd already put some gig shots on the "thinking about a dslr" thread, so you can compare how it coped with using flash in a pub

cheers ... Darren

Hmm, just had a read of Flickr, they resize all photo's on free accounts, although they do keep the full size image in case you pay to upgrade.

BTW the shop that I bought the camera from is a nice indie called Tom Dennis of Scunthorpe (& Lincoln I think), don't know if they do mail order, as I went in person

Have a look at Picasa from Google for hosting Darren if Flickr isn't quite hitting the spot - it might do the trick and is free, with a decent amount of space (1Gb last time I checked).

Cheers Steve

I've just bought a 2nd hand Minolta 50mm f1.7 lens for gig use, although I've not had chance to test it out yet.

Venue lighting is so variable, it's a bit of a nightmare sometimes
