Does anyone know whether the multimedia connections are likely to be improved on the 2010 MY Fabia? Seems to be all the rage on other small cars at the moment, but there's no sign of a USB/SD/full ipod interface at the moment? Wondered whether they might borrow some parts from the facelift octavia..

Presumably a Stream MP3 radio from an Octavia could be fitted straight in as a replacement for a Dance? Then you could use one of the iPod interfaces such as the IceLink to control the iPod from the head unit? I suspect that you might even be able to use the Icelink with the Dance, without having to upgrade to the Stream...

Stream MP3 and dance are totally different shapes, and will not fit the furby2 dash.

I suppose the dash could come in for a redesign during the facelift tho , so the stereo might also get an upgrade.

Thanks mannyo. From memory, I suspected they were different shapes but wasn't sure. I'm aware of most of the existing ipod interfaces like icelink but I'm hoping for something that isn't just a cd changes emulator, so allowing full navigation/control of an ipod. Actually I don't even own an ipod so a USB interface would be even better for me!

I'm hoping 2010 MY fabia = new head unit = compatible with MDI (as per facelift octavia).
