Whiteline Rear ARB - fitting and review

I don't like the look of that at all. The ARB should obviously not contact other components throughout the full range of suspension movement. The fact that the car is lowered doesn't make any difference. I would say that the ARB is wrongly designed.

Maybe the Golf V GTi it was originally designed for has some slight differences in suspension construction or dimensions..?

Correction if I may; my car is not lowered, I'm on OE springs (although I do have Koni FSDs).

I'm thinking that way myself as I seem to recall that my Neuspeed bar has a more acute angle to the fitting blade. Anyone with a Whiteline arb care to comment?

I have raised the issue with Awsome GTI (from whom I bought it) and they in turn are speaking to APR; we'll see.

There is more than adequate clearance on my Whiteline installation (Mk V Golf ARB). I checked it through the full range of suspension movement at the time of fitting. Obviously its dangerous for the ARB to contact other suspension components because this could effectively limit wheel movement and lead to all sorts of nasty consequences. The bar is far too close in your first picture - needs properly sorting.
