coilovers or anti-roll bar set up????????

Featured Replies

been looking at a lot of threads recently on coilovers ,suspension and even started one myself!i know i will loose some comfort with a coilover set up and if i go that way i will get a half decent kit!

however i have a little one on the way in summer and this is also my family/daily car so dont wanna bump the kid all over the place!

question is i want better handling for next months track day so do i get the coilovers or a anti-roll bar set up to get better handling?

i know the coils will prob be better for handling but if i can get better handling over standard with ARB's and not loose too much comfort this may be a better deal for me!!

help needed before i spend a wad and need done within a month??

ps its not my intention to do much track action at all,so just occasional blast on the roads!!

If i was you i would go for the following

Powerflex dogbone mount

S3 lower brace

Neuspeed 28mm rear arb

These will make a big improvement to the handing and powerflex bush will help get rid of 'wheel hop'.

The above will cost around £300 and will be a great start and you see a benefit on the track.

If your still after more after fitting these then i would go for the Koni FSD's & H&R set up.

Post your location as there may be someone local to give you a demo of this set up.

or just buy my KW V2's in the for sale section.

Adding a RARB is an improvement over standard but until you loose the standard shocks which are the archilles heel of the octi you will always be left wanting more.

If I had it to do again I would go for the Weitec coilovers however I am very happy with my current set up. In hindsight though the Weitecs would have been cheaper.
