Skoda Fabia 1.2 htp 54bhp 3cyl 8v 53 plate 56000miles AWY engine

Hi all,

We have had this car from new & have it serviced annually, with no major problems so far

This is my wifes car, & it is driven 5 days a week, 15 miles each way.

No warning lights

No problems starting the car

It hasn't stalled

Recently, she has been having an intermittent problem with it :-

Sometimes it appears to not want to accelerate (at varying speeds), it needs her to raise her foot off the accelerator pedal, & re-apply it to get going again.

This has happened a number of times (a dozen or so) over the last 10 days or so, occuring more often when the conditions are damp & when it happens, it tends to happen more than once.

She mentioned that a couple of times the car appeared to 'misfire' (but not for the last few days).

Can anyone help with a diagnosis please?

Check the lead for cracks splits etc

Also try the airfilter, MAF

Try using the "search" Loads of info there
