Safe Plate Number Plate Spray

Featured Replies

Safe Plate is an Anti-Flash Number Plate Spray. They say you can prove it effectiveness with a digital camera that has got an external flash....

have you tried it?

Most of our cameras dont use flashes anymore anyhow, not sure about yours.

AH- the difference between working conditions North and South of the Border - down here our :cop1:congegrate in a helicopter and the word from them on other sites is that this sort of spray don't hinder the Southern Cash And Merchandising Agents(SCAMERA) in their quest for gold ( or the contents of you're wallet ).

(Aplogies to those few BIB who regard the SCP using Police credentials to operate outside the law as highway robbers )

erm, perverting the course of justice springs to mind and the police dont take kindly to it so dont bother as you can tell a car thats got it and if they following you with anpr the alarm will warn that the plate is unreadable and they will then see on the screen why and have a good chat with you.

Snake oil anyone?

Snake oil anyone?

Trying to give it up

Yup and they'll go out of their way to get you for it if you're spotted with it, nicked without ever having screwed up on the road.

It works on video cameras, but not fixed cameras - I saw a documentary a while back about how it takes them 10 seconds with some sort of photoshop analysis to grab the plate number from a fixed speed camera shot.

Not worth the hassle and most if not all sprays are useless.

I wouldn't bother... A much more effective solution is just to clone someone else's car. :)

all the spray does its make the numberplate appear really bright with lots of glare so you cant see the numbers, all the cops will do is reverse the colours so its negative then the plate is clear as day

I much prefer the James Bond revolving number plates, and then if I get any bacon on my tail (sorry brisky officers of the law) I can then reach for the rear facing machine gun button or the oil slick sprayer ..... much more effective. I can then head home at whatever speed I like to my silicone enhanced wife, who can suck a golf ball through 20feet of hosepipe, has immunity to headaches, a "memory foam" vagina and has no comprehension of the word "no".

"Cough" .... Nurse .... my medication please :)

/\ Does she have a sister????   lol lol lol ;)

I like that one :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I've tried that spray and tested it with the digital camera and it don't work. Haven't tried it in anger and don't intend to, probably is snake juice. Also seen it and other anti camera ideas thoroughly debunked on tv's Mythbusters. Conclusion? BUSTED

now i never went to oxford or cambridge but i can tell you that these sprays don't work so pull the other one its got bells on it.

I found a better solution

Buy your car interstate, dealer cancels rego and removes plates then purchases permit for trip home which you tape to windscreen - correct legal procedure

Drive 700kms home with no rego plates poking your tongue out at fixed cameras. Make sure when highway patrol cars are present one is driving legally. When lights flash(no number plates, remember), stop immediately, politely show officer permit and then Skoda (rare in Australia) and tell him his car is faster. Chat for a while and everyone's happy.

Resume journey, smiling.

Trouble is, gets expensive buying a car every 3 weeks just to go fast. :D
