Climatronic and facelift fabia...

Featured Replies

Some time next year thinking about chopping in the leon for a fabia vRS.. just wondering when the facelift fabia will be here and if anyone knows if it will have:

Climate control?

3 door option?

leather option?

:)

Since 2 days I have FL Fabia vRS, the changes is very a little (back lights), the climatic is the same, no 3 door and leather options, at least for outside UK :)

Facelift is available to order now IIRC. 3 door won't be available if Skoda at the motorshow are to be believed. It would me more cost in different parts etc. Leather and Climatronic are unlikely but could be included.

The SEAT Leon is only available as a 5-door hatch, I think this is intentional.......economies of scale, and all that. I think the Fabia will remain the same until the next redesign. As you guys in the motor (manufacturing) industry will know - doors are expensive! Build a mass volume 5-door, and you have a far greater audience than a 3-door would ever have.

All Fabia's now ordered will be 2000MY face lifts. The production line changed over to the new model sometime ago after the line was overhauled on its summer break.

Apparently 2005MY Fabias were built from 7th August 2004.

which i have....

Dragging up a thread from a while ago...

I can presumably tell the build date of the updated fabia by looking at the chassis number? Can anyone tell me which bit of the number I need to look at?

Cheers

Often the rough build date is plastered on little stickers on the inside bits of fascias/trim. The inside of my door cards confirmed mine was assembled around the 15th March 2001.

Just found its the 10th digit along the VIN which tells you the model year :)
