I currently own a 2004 04 plate Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.4 16v 100bhp manual hatchback. Am more than happy with the car in all aspects except for the door seals that leak when it rains hard - covered in detail on here i believe.

I am looking to replace the car and would be more than happy to buy exactly same spec Fabia again but obv a newer version. I would be looking at a 58 plate at least.

Does anyone know if skoda have fixed the door seal problem on the latest models - if not i will be looking elsewhere!!

Yes they have! The doors on the new Fabia is of a completly different construction, and so far I haven't heard of any leaks.

Cynical though it may be, I doubt they have just like Renault, ford, Vauxhall, any other Vag marque

There is no leaking, but mine holds a surprising amount of water to catch you when you open the door..
