Back from the bodyshop... Fabia has had a shave...

Featured Replies

Tried to keep this on the down low folks but i pickd up my fabia from the bodyshop today after being in a courtacy car for a week, I used Cotswold Accident Repairs and the great team there have done a super job of smoothing both front and rear bumpers (it's a 1.4MPi remember, horrible plastic bits on the bumpers!), removing the rear badge and painting the scuttle panel to match the body colour. I am very pleased with how it looks, a bit more euro and here are a few photos, sorry bout the poor quality but i only had my phone and light was fading!

I'd like your views and thoughts!!

Cheers

Davy

The boot looks nice with the badge off

Not keen on the bumpers though

What you going to do with the front number plate then?

Looks v good BTW...

Looks good that Duggie - nice one

Thanks for the comments guys, when i first saw it i was a little worried about the bumpers but they have really grown on me... quickly. I have got a stick on numberplate for the time being but i suppose at MOT time i'll have to think of something...

Looks amazing. Really really like that.

Top job.

If your ever getting rid of them give me a shout. :D

Have a word with Stuart, he has the flip up plate on his SDi with smoothed bumpers.

one of those square motorcyle/taxi number plates would look good i reckon

Just run it in the window or sun visor.

Or if you want onto the grill at the bottom.

Get black inserts in your lights and smoke the front fogs for the ultimate look.

Any more plans?

That looks smoooooooth

Any plans to delete the rear wiper and/or roof aerial as part of any ongoing shaving of "sticky-out bits"?

Cheers

Run a roof rack on the car and put the front plate on the leading edge of the front bar! ;)

Bumpers are SWEET!

If you don't mind me askin how much was it roughly?

I think it would look pretty good in Dynamic Blue:thumbup:

The car is going in tomorrow to get the PS2 put in the glovebox... Next mod may take a bit more saving though... Schmidt TH lines with a decent stretch... I have been thinking about removing the rear wiper but not really the ariel... that might be a plan... need to wait until April's paycheque though. Thanks for the comments and if anyne knows of somewhere that does chrome or decent looking roof racks that might be a plan too...

Just run it in the window or sun visor.

Very quick way to get nicked, especially around Oxford.

Just put an advert in the wanted section! I got mine off here for £55 delivered! genuine Skoda lockable ones too!

I'll go into the wanted section asap! It came to a total of (now whisper this) £600 but i was paying for the labour too. Remember i had the scuttle panel and rear badge done too!

Not bad for the work involved.

I Remember i had the scuttle panel

More pictures needed.

Nah.

Nah?

Really like that Duggie, top job! You ditched the 'white' / 'orange' idea then of painting mirrors and grill?
