Item on suspension spring

Featured Replies

As we've had some good weather, took the opportunity to give the car a good cleaning, taking the alloy's off I've found some sort of rubber connector on the suspension spring. Its only on the drivers side, any one any ideas what it is?

Yep it's a transit block that should have been extracted at the PDI. Remove it immediately!

It really is scary how many times we've heard of these not being removed at pdi. I reckon skoda should put some sort of control in place, maybe that the dealer needs to send all 4 back to the factory, or something. How many people don't like the handling because these are still there. Bets the Superb II that the press complained was too hard a ride still had them in?

Thats the plastic thing that's fitted to my Fabia Blueline, There's a tread on it

Thanks for that rsbspt, tried with a craft knife a work but its not having it. So have to get them off at home tonight, when I can get whe wheel off, as unde closer inspection there's 4 of them sitting on there.

Take it back to the dealers and get them to remove them, whilst apologising to you :D

jack the wheel up and just pull them out by hand.:)

Our Octy did nearly 20k with them fitted.

Since removal the sports suspension is firm, but no longer bone shaking on the country roads round here.

Its quite shocking how often this seems to be reported on here, isnt this an obvious thing to check for on the PDI, isnt it a standard tick sheet? Makes you wonder what else they slack off with during servicing/repairs.

I would kick up hell at the dealers.

Strange that they remembered to take it off the other side though.
